A few quiet placements.

Targeted by country.

No ad networks.

RailsMaps is an interactive map of the world's railway networks, built from OpenStreetMap data and updated daily. It started as a personal project and grew from there — most people find it by searching for one country's network, and tend to stay a while once they do.

  • · direct deals only
  • · no third-party scripts
  • · rates on request

Data from OpenStreetMap contributors — strong where mappers are active, thinner elsewhere.

Placements

Only a couple of spots, so the map stays readable:

  • Sidebar cardAlways on

Top of the control panel, above the region picker, in the panel people keep open the whole time. A logo, a heading, a line of copy and a link.

  • Above the legendDismissible

A card on the map itself, sitting over the legend. A logo, a short heading and a link. Closes for good once someone dismisses it.

  • Below the legendAlways on

A single quiet line under the legend, on desktop and mobile. A logo and one short line, nothing more. Never covers the map and cannot be closed.

  • Something elseBy arrangement

Neither quite right? Happy to hear ideas — a co-branded map view, a sponsored region, an embed on your own site. Nothing here is fixed.

Everything is drawn by the site itself — no ad network, no third-party scripts, no tracking pixels, and no plans to add any.

Targeting

Every country has its own pages, so a placement does not have to run everywhere. Japan only, Germany only, a single language, one network type — whatever fits the people you are trying to reach.

Rates

It depends on where it sits, how much of the map it covers and how long it runs — flat monthly, based on impressions, or something longer term. Just ask and I will send the audience figures along with a price.

Get in touch

Happy to talk it through. Tell me a bit about who you would like to reach and we can work out whether it fits.

FreakMaps — motorways, expressways and cities — can go in the same deal if you would like both.
