Bavaria Railway Map — Mainline, Regional and Freight Rail Network

Bavaria – interactive railway map. Mainline, regional and freight rail network — filterable by speed, electrification, track gauge and line usage.

Bavaria is also known as Bayern.

Bavaria – rail network drawn from data mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, covering mainline railways, regional lines, commuter rail and freight corridors. Lines are colour-coded by rail type and filterable by maximum permitted speed, electrification system, track gauge and line usage. The map reveals the layered structure of the network: high-speed intercity spines, slower regional connectors, freight-only branches serving ports and industrial zones, and heritage lines preserved for tourism. Switch between filter modes to view the same railway infrastructure through a different lens — the same line that appears as a passenger main line in usage mode will show its permitted speed and electrification system in the other views.

Bavaria – 37,204 mapped railway segments, including 1,751 tram segments, 1,095 metro segments and 379 narrow gauge segments — a major regional rail hub. Also mapped: 1,275 high-speed railway segments and 19,494 electrified segments.

Paid exports can also be cropped exactly to the Bavaria border. Free exports carry a watermark; an Export Pass removes it. Bavaria rail data is also available as GeoPackage or Shapefile.
