Thuringia Railway Map — Mainline, Regional and Freight Rail Network

Thuringia – interactive railway map. Mainline, regional and freight rail network — filterable by speed, electrification, track gauge and line usage.

Thuringia is also known as Thüringen.

Thuringia – rail network drawn from data mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, covering mainline railways, regional lines, commuter rail and freight corridors. Lines are colour-coded by rail type and filterable by maximum permitted speed, electrification system, track gauge and line usage. The map reveals the layered structure of the network: high-speed intercity spines, slower regional connectors, freight-only branches serving ports and industrial zones, and heritage lines preserved for tourism. Switch between filter modes to view the same railway infrastructure through a different lens — the same line that appears as a passenger main line in usage mode will show its permitted speed and electrification system in the other views.

Thuringia – 9,787 mapped railway segments, including 1,457 tram segments and 328 narrow gauge segments. Also mapped: 520 high-speed railway segments and 2,921 electrified segments.

Paid exports can also be cropped exactly to the Thuringia border. Free exports carry a watermark; an Export Pass removes it. Thuringia rail data is also available as GeoPackage or Shapefile.
