South Korea - railway track gauge map. Standard gauge (1435mm), broad gauge, narrow gauge, Iberian gauge (1668mm), and mixed-gauge lines on a single filterable map.
South Korea - track gauge across every railway line, colour-coded by type. Standard gauge (1435mm) is used across most of Europe, China, North America, and the Middle East. Broad gauge variants include Russian/CIS gauge (1520mm), Indian gauge (1676mm), and Iberian gauge (1668mm). Narrow gauge lines — typically 1000mm, 914mm, 762mm, or 600mm — are common in heritage railways, mountain lines, and regional networks across Africa and Asia. Mixed-gauge track carries two gauges simultaneously using a third rail. Gauge breaks at borders — such as between Spain and France, or Ukraine and Poland — require gauge-changing axles, bogie exchange, or a change of train.
